Rob and Ed,
Thanks for the help - your 33.39-s.1 seems to match. How do you do
it??? Let me tell you how I do it and let me know what I do wrong... I go
to the Durst Miller book to pages 4 thru 9. I find the date first and then
try to match obverse and reverse legends to the charts in the book. When I
did this, I came up with the 33 obverse legend and the T reverse legend. I
went to my Perkin's and couldn't find a match. I looked up the legend for
the "s" reverse for 1787 and it has a different ET LIB configuration in the
chart then I have on my coin. Obviously there must be exceptions to this
chart and if so are there many others?
Thanks for the help - I would have had to go through all the 1787's in
Perkin's from the beginning to come up with the right attribution.
