    Hi All!
I know this coin doesn't fit into our collecting area or our budgets but it is a classic coin... Thought you might like to know:

    Hello Everyone,
The 1933 Gold Double Eagle sold for $6.6
Million at approx. 6:12 PM today. I viewed the
auction live on ebay, and it was very
    interesting.
The First Bid: Approx. 6:03 PM on my watch,
    $2,600,000
It became the most valuable coin in the world at
approx. 6:05 (the bid was $4,200,000).
At 6:10, It passed the estimate of the US mint
    (the bid was $6,100,000)
At 6:12 PM it ended at $6,600,000.
