    Hi All!
I just received back from NCS, a Maris Family Reunion Medal. I was concerned about a couple specs of active verdigree and that it might spread and damage more of the medal. I don't know what they did, but the verdigris is gone and the medal looks nice.
I am totally against cleaning and coloring coins to increase their value, but coins that have an active corrosion on the surface should have it neutralized before more harm is done.
I saw in NN today that Ute Wartenburg has been selected to be on the Citizen's Commerative Coin Advisory Committee. Although having nothing to do with colonials, I have to say that I've noticed a positive change in recent years with the ANS acquiring more interest in US Coinage. I think Don P and Ute W are doing a great job at ANS. If this were an ideal world, it would be great if the ANS library were a lending library but I don't see that happening. With all the valuable items in addition the the huge staff that would need to be employed... I did say in an "ideal" world...
    Must get back to work...

    Ray
