You're right, I really don't have the time to look over everything
with a fine-toothed comb - at least not for a while.
Besides, I always figured that someone like Clem would be there to
snatch-up such things, and, I've had as much if not more luck at
shows. A lot of dealers still don't care or are not willing to buy
the references to look up varieties - or simply lack any self-
confidence to do so. I no longer do it for them either, at least not
for free.
Some dealers who know me have refused to sell me things simply
because I show an interest, saying that's it's 'not for sale.' Then
they have someone else look it up and have it attributed at the next
show, at which point I've lost MY interest! That's happened to me
just within the past few shows I've been to.
If I ever do show up in Boston I'll be disguised.
