1819 Brass counterfeit 2 Reales from Caracas, Venezuela (see Krause:
Venezuela, Caracas, Royalist Coinage, silver 2 Reales - KM#6.1). This
particular brass example also came from the small colonial hoard of
which I posted some photos and comments earlier. Absolutely no trace of
silvering. 5.0grams, 25mm, brass, plain edge, medal axis. Very
interesting counterfeit! Jeff
