    Hi Stan!
That's a good thought but I don't know the logistics of sharing and making copies of this document. John, Are there any restrictions placed on us making copies...

I have taken the liberty of emailing Harold Welch the librarian for CTCC to see if they have an interest in this thesis on Boulton. Perhaps we can save a little money if we go in together on this acquisition if C4 decides to buy a copy for our library. I am awaiting his reply.

The cost of 70 pounds includes shipping to the U.S.. I will send you
by snail mail the order form to be filled out if its approved by C4
to the University of Birmingham. In terms of C4 the importance of
this reference source is as follows:
    1. The workings of Boulton is very sketchy in his earlier days before
Droz the famous engraver joined him. This reference may supply
additional links to certain operations that may have produced some
copper coins, medals or other issues we collect as English imported
    colonials.
    2. One example from (1) above is the RI Ship token. Perhaps there is
some information with Boulton dealing with Dutch authorities in this
    UNIQUE reference source.
    3. Conders were something Boulton involved himself heavily into in
terms of supplying copper. Any C4 member collecting these issues
would find this source invaluable for research or at least find it as
a fresh new reference. There is a whole section on Copper Coinage in
this thesis. True, probably all of it is Conder related, but then
    again ...
    4. This reference may supply direct evidence on what time period the
greatest force involving copper coinage production in England at this
time started to strike his own coinage and when he started to supply
copper to other parties for striking coins. Was it in the mid-late
    1780's or earlier???
    5. Any C4 collector that collects medals on the side would LOVE to
read this reference, right my next door neighbor MR. (C4)Allendale,
    NJ????
    Later....
