In the Superior sale at the ANA that had a 1767 French Colonies in a 64 RB
    holder -

Thas was the only one I've ever seen out of perhaps 100 that exhibited
yellow-gold brassy color - all others I've seen in person appeared to be
    copper.

I noted Superior's lot description was that based on the color it might be closer
to brass than copper, but that hardly seemed a definitive statement that the
    coin was in fact brass.

Even if it was brass, I thought the color was a bit too bright / yellow / gold to
    me.

And so, does anyone believe the color was original? Was it brass? And are
there other brass examples floating around?

    Thanks,

    JA
