Stack's 2003 Americana sale (next January) will include some nice
stuff in coins, medals, and tokens. Highlights are:
1. 1652 Willow Tree 6d
2. 1787 MA 1/2 Cent R.4-D, ex B&M/Hewitt (1984)
3. Western Reserve Historical Society's collection of Washingtonia,
with two gold funeral urn badges (round and oval), two badges in
silver (one a skull & crossbones type), the fifth known WM piece
with GW on the pedestal, a Getz Masonic medal in sound VF, lots of
other neat stuffmuch ex Norweb.
4. Indian Peace and Military medals, with an Astor in silver, a
Chouteau in WM, the St. Vincent's Black Corps medal ex LaRiviere
(actually issued for the 2nd Battalion West Indies Regiment), and
others.
5. Lots of Betts medals.
6. The Cobb Collection of Washington Inaugural buttons.
The catalogue is being written now. Look for it sometime around Xmas.
