Hi Mike,
You've brought up some interesting points and actually I am going down to C-4
on Wenesday the 13th and before I get to Boston I will be spending a good
part of the day at Niton Corp. I think with some of my junk 1/2d that I will
experiment with subjecting the coin to different treatments and also getting
the coin down to bare metal to see if there are differences in the
measurements. I'll do a dozen coins to see if there is any trend in the
readings recorded and will post the results after C-4 but I will also have
those results available to all parties that are interested at C-4.
