My comments are that you are doing the right thing.
Glad to see surface doesn't affect readings too much.
We were working with "clean" coins compared to copper
so it was easier. I will look up the date of the CW
article, and you can get a copy from CW editor at no
cost I am sure. Don't know where I have a copy.
