Buell- It is wonderful to locate the Landis Deerhead piece!
Please be sure to send the 2x2 flip insert to Dan with the
coin so he can photograph it also. That provides a LOT of
information and provenance. The precise diameter would
be very useful if you can capture that for me... scans on
webpages don't tell us anything about sizes. The weight
would be cool if easily obtainable but isn't a big factor.
Dan- If you can create large scale scans like RayW did of
the standard NJNS 1996 Medal, posted on 11/22 as message
number 9026, I can then clip out close-ups and reduce the
overall images for full shots in my ScrapBook posting.
I am so pleased to locate this Landis creation guys! You
have no idea how long I have been looking. If this specimen
ever becomes available on the market I hope somebody will
let me know... it would go really super with my unique "Wrong
Sized" 1878/NJNS 700th Meeting Mule and rare "Wrong
Sized" 28.5mm 1787 New Jersey Cent. With a standard NJNS
1996 medal included the four pieces would make a wonderful
Landis related display... heck, I could throw in a GSNA 1997
medal and make the set even more interesting.
Thanks again to both of you gentlemen... the Internet sure
makes things possible that otherwise would never happen!
Have a great day- Verne
