I was alwys tempted to have the holded 4-C plugged, but this would
have taken the romance out of it. Was the plate coin in the Red Book
for years. Tried to get a duplicate but a bit too dear!
Back in 1950 when we bought it for $750 for NNC, it was by far the
most expensive purhase for many years.
Let me know what die variety you have found!!
