    Morris, you've stumbled on Rule #1 and Rule #2 of grading. Rule #1 -- if
    someone has a coin that you want to buy, it is automatically 10 points nicer
    than what you think it is. Rule #2 -- if you have a coin that you want to
    sell, it is automatically 10 points lower than you think it is. The only
    real problems start when you have a coin that is actually a VG8 -- that means
    it would end up grading a negative 2!
