Hi Ray and all, I got my coins out this week-end with
the specific objective being to look at my 47-e New
Jersey which I bought in the Barnes sale. The lot
description (lot 71)includes the comment, "This coin
comes not only with the Stack's 5/84 lot 173 Bareford
ticket, but also with Bareford's own envelope for this
coin." The coin was also a Spiro coin. A comparison
of the image posted, as indicated below, and my
envelope, leaves no doubt that the envelope posted
below is the Bareford envelope and not the Spiro
envelope. I think this conclusion was arrived at
deductively but this present observation provides firm
proof. Roger M.
