Hey Jeff,
Thanks for the nice comments! I don't know how good the book is....but I thought the key photo's were the 7.3-D and the "Cracked Head" (new 6.6 obverse). I thought everyone had seen the African head (anyone interested, I might be able to get my hands on some Hock plate reproductions....I got one myself....and it's great, but it was a bit expensive)....I have even seen a color photo, I would love to get a scan and be able to put that in.....eh hem, hint, hint to the gentlemen who may be reading this that might have the original. I still need better photo's to represent some of the more common varieties, and I had thought to go to '86, next, but some things have come up that require so much of my time.....I have everything in my computer already except some photo's, so I will start putting it together shortly......
You know, I started this for myself, just to make it easier for me.....then I showed it to a couple of people and they loved it and wanted a copy, "as soon as it's published." Well, Dave W., finally convinced me to just put the darn thing together and bring some copies to C4.......so....I bought a canon s900 photo printer and started printing..............I finished off I think 14-15 copies on it and then it started making these terrible noises (luckily it did not try to smoke). (They sold out right away, and some gentleman I didn't even know asked for 10 copies! I apologized but told him that this wasn't a commercial venture and I am just providing them to my friends.....he was bummed, I felt bad, but what could I do). I tried to put together a quick reference guide on the last page also....I don't know if it is useful or not. The printer still makes the noises but I can print a page or two out. I might be able to print out a couple more with my brother-in-law's help.....I have already received a couple more requests.....my real hope is to get some lighter photo's of some of the examples before printing more out. I was going to get a color laser printer to print them, but they are EXPENSIVE!......I would appreciate it if anyone who has a copy and finds errors and/or something I might have missed to please let me know, as I put this together pretty quickly. Also, I would scans!!! PLEASE! The higher the quality, the better....luckily, I have cable modem now, so bandwidth is not a problem. In the meantime, if people don't want to wait for a "better edition," email me privately and if enough people are interested I'll run off some at kinko's (they are very expensive too).
I didn't want to make an advertising for this.....I'm sorry if it sounded like it.
Peace,
Bijan
