As Mike Hodder said, many fought PCGS on slabbing colonials. All we
can do is take out the "rare good one" from its prison. Most of the
slabbed colonials that I have seen are overgraded before a value
adjustment for scratches, surfaces, etc. It is an insult to think
these slab guys add any value. I would love to see a service that
would properly describe, weigh, measure, digitally photograph and
pedigree a colonial (ie just like Mike Hodder/C4/ B+M catalogs).

The one good thing I can say about slabs that they preserve AU-UNC
colonials (Kentucky, TAL, VAs, regals) from handling abuse by non-
    colonial dealers.
