Rough question...Someone like Mike Hodder would probably have a good guess ast to the number of collectors of colonial coins. If I were to pick a number, I'd probably say about 2000. I'd figure that for every C4 member, there are probably 3 to 4 that are not C4 members. Just my guess... As to your second question, I'm probably one of the "hard core" you refer to. I encourage anyone I know to get into the colonial field. I try to steer them to CT Coppers or Fugio Cents so as to not increase the competition in my area <BG>. Only kidding about that, the steering I mean. With respect to C4, it is my goal to have as many colonial enthusiasts join as possible. BUT, I'd rather have a smaller group of dedicated collectors than a large group where the majority do not have a passion for our focus areas. It's always been my experience that the C4 members that I know are willing to help the newcomer and encourage them.
