I guess you could call me hard core, so I will not hazard a guess on
the # of colonial collectors there are. As to "Newbies", I think all
of us welcome them. The slab crowd may be another story, as they
typically don't seem to seek out C4 or other groups to help them,
they seem content to stay with slab dealers and services for all
their information, which of course is foolish. There is more info
available from C4 or even EAC on colonials in one issue of their
respective journals, than there is in any "population report" from
any grading service. I have had discussions with slab collectors of
colonilas in the past, and they have not wanted more, when offered
C4. They preferred to remain "anonymous" as one guy told me. I did
try to educate him further, and got nowhere, so I gave up. If they
want to study and learn about colonials, C4 would certainly welcome
them with open arms, as would 99% of it's members. The other 1%,
don't like anyone, so we'll discount them<bg> David
