I accumulate Evasions, I am serious of New Jersey's and Canadian
Blacksmith Coppers and I buy type colonials that are outside my
general collecting interest such as west indies pieces, certain
Washingtonia, and one example or two from other areas such as
Hibernias, Rosa's, etc. I purchase these as types. I buy the type but
not the variety in these areas to round-out my collection.
If all I collected was New Jersey's and in my entire life I have
never shared or written or talked to anyone in this field am I an
accumulator or am I also a serious collector. Who can decide this
fact???
Accumulation is find but most collectors get to a point of giving
back as they get on to the later years. Does your wish to
remain "totally" anonymous take you to a point that your giving back
is nothing more than your name being placed on an auction catalog???
This person is then an accumulator?
No he is a serious collector.
Level 2 it seems is a hard one to pinpoint or define. Perhaps we are
best left with JUST type collectors and serious collectors.
I only accumulate Evasions. Sounds a bit empty or uncaring.
