Ray, thanks for your response. Are you telling me that die states are a reason to assign new attribution numbers? What jack-donkey is making money off this? Who agreed to make die states varieties? Who voted on this and when? Morris Ray Williams <njraywms@optonline.net> wrote:Hi Morris!, The current terminology is Maris 77-dd Type I, Type II and Type III. I've found the easiest way to tell the difference is that the Type I has no die break on the obverse, Type II has the die break on the obverse only, and Type III has a die break on both obverse and reverse. Hope that helps. Ray----- Original Message ----- From: Morris Hankins To: Colonial Coins Sent: Saturday, March 01, 2003 2:17 PMSubject: [Colonial Numismatics] New Jersey Question
Can someone advise me the difference between the 77dd and the 77.5dd. I have looked and looked at the obverse and am obviousily missing something.
Thanks
Morris
