All,
There may be a pretty obvious and well known answer to this that I
have just missed over the years..... But as I was looking through
Ford and thinking about all the NJ Mints (say 3 to 5), various
Engravers maybe another 5, all the diversity of the NJ obverses and
reverses....why is it that they all used the E appended to the A
convention for the spelling of CAESAREA? Even the Maris 79-ee!
They made Head Lefts, Serpant Heads etc. etc. Ray's earlier point
that devices matter not legends. Anyway, hope someone as answer.
