    Hi, I recently won a Maris 65-u....I'm a copycat
bidder Morris. I always said, if you want top dollar
for your coin, write up something historical or
technical about the variety, include some pictures and
show it to me and I will jump on the next one I see.
Obviously LDS, not the quality of Morris' coin though,
but has a lot of fun things going on. It was struck
off-center which was mentioned, but it also has 0%
rotation, a full medal turn which was not mentioned.
Unfortunately I have two scales but no batteries...my
to do list after work tonite. I'm going to start
measuring the coins ala Mike Hodder (N/S E/W) which
makes the most sense from what I've heard yet on
measuring colonials. This coin is 29.00mm x 29.25mm
N/S always being my first measurement.

I have a question. I know I saw the coin a few weeks
ago up for sale on ebay, before I bought it. The
seller is one of these 20 million feedback people who
are too busy to answer question's. When I asked if the
coin was sold and sent back or sold and never paid for
or just pulled, he said "one or the other but he was
real busy and did not have time to check and didn't
know off hand". Did anyone here buy this and send it
back, and if so, please let me know why. I like it.

I swore off NJ's about 15 years ago when I was forced
to sell off some real nice stuff to feed a gambling
addiction. Now, I find myself drifting back to lower
grade examples with "character". I know it's not
monetarily beneficial, but I always preferred the coin
that was carried in some colonists pocket to the feed
store, then made its way to the black smiths shop, and
then to the pub...etc as opposed to something that
went from the press to the vault.

PS - To anyone wishing to purchase anything from me,
don't count on my going back to betting sports. Dave P
keeps sending me the lines on the games. (just
    kidding)

    Steve
