I have seen on a few occasions a tiny hole drilled in the edge at K12 for suspension.
At least once on a Fugio.
Beware

You are assuming that the coins that we collect( Colonials??!!) were struck in collars. Mostly, as I understand it, they were not. David

That's a great point Gord.
If I sound unducated in this area, it is only because I am.
Not a strike expert//tekkie...here goes...
Do collars get old and beat up whre you canhave new dies but old
collars affecting the edge???

ouch,
steve

--- In colonial-coins@yahoogroups.com, "Gord Nichols" <gnichols@c...>
wrote:
> Robert
> It is a real good way to get a true impression of the piece's
actual grade though.
