I didn't get anything at the first Ford sale, hopefully, I can save enough to get something at the second or third one. If not, oh well. Maybe someone that upgrades, will take pity on me and sell me their lower grade piece. David

David and Byron, I'm glad I'm good for a chuckle now and again. Laughing is a good thing, even at my expense. I've met too many people in life that can't laugh at all let alone laugh at themselves. Laughter keeps us young (so does collecting coins!). Verne's web site did show a way that a legitimate two headed coin could be struck. The people at the Gallery Mint have been cooperative in minting experiments for several of us. It's very quiet here with everyone at FUN. That's okay - I could use the time to catch up with work. 2004 should be a good year for us colonial collectors. I'm hoping that 3 to 5 books will be in print this year, one being available in the next couple weeks. C4 will have its 10 Convention and 10th Auction. Maybe with a 10th Anniversary Auction, we can do things special or different or bigger this year. Also there will be two Ford Sales and the first of the Kolbe Sales of the Ford Library. COAC is scheduled and ready to go, although I've misplaced the dates. A friend has made an interesting discovery about a NJ variety, which I hope to see in print this year. This will be a good year! Boy Ray, I am getting concerned about you. If you put enough senior moments together, they call that Alzhiemer's! david

RayW- Thanks for your suggestion that I post a request for scans of Mario's eBay acquisition but nobody got back to me on it. Luck was with me because I found a reference to this eBay item in my browser's history stack.
Thought you might like to see the ScrapBook subject I built that included that salvaged scan... "To Be Esteemed Be Useful" http://www.gmmnut.com/gmm74.html#birch.
Thanks for your help- Verne
