Yesterday I read in CW about a British (George II ?)uniface medal
sold in a recent auction. John K. said that it may not have been an
Indian piece medal but some type of military accouterment.I was
wondering if there was any other reason for a medal to be uniface.
The reason I'm asking is I have a high relief medal of George the
III that is uniface. The reverse is crisscrossed with heavy
scratches like adjustment marks. I know very little about medals and
am hoping someone might be able to tell me why this medal was made
    this way?
    Regards,
    Marc Mayhugh
