Mario, I would have to disagree with you. I know women in the hobby who are well respected and have much to contribute. I think that with respect to non-collectors disposing of an estate, a man could just as easily make a "stupid" description as a woman could... Sometimes I think that dealers sell on ebay using the pretense that it's a woman - such as a noted Canadian dealer that uses his wife's picture and a female handle. It's his marketing scheme and I guess it works well, or he would have stopped by now. I've always wondered why there weren't more women in the hobby... They appreciate beauty and usually have a better eye for detail... I read the weekly YN publication of the ANA and with the YNs, there seems to be more of a parity in numbers between girls and boys. Maybe this is a sign of the future - more women will be in the hobby soon. Whether a man or a woman, whoever has to deal with your numismatic estate needs to be prepared! What we considered a lifetime of pleasure assembling, our loved ones will consider a major nightmare if they don't know what to do! The best person to dispose of it is YOU! If you can not bear to part with it at an appropriate time, then get things organized. Contact who you would want to dispose of the coins and have an agreement made. With simple instructions to your family, they would only need to mail a package and the rest is done for them. I'm sure you've all heard the nightmare stories of someone purchasing a collection from a widow at a fraction of its value... Must get to work now. I DON'T MEAN TO SOUND NEGATIVE TOWARDS THIS SELLER,.......but lets face it,.........this seller is something else. Her (Jarlene) item,......ebay # 2223120225 sounds like that kotex commerical on TV,...........with wings??????? What in the hell are wings on a Roosevelt Dime???? And what possibility, why she calls this experimential??? Do you ever notice that most women that lists a coin here on ebay,.....have the most stupidest of descriptions. I think the reason why is simple,.......during their lifetime, their husbands build a nice collection, scrimp and save to buy a decent coin while all along, their wife complains and nags about spending money on what they call "A stupid coin" however, once the husband goes,......the wife now cares enough to sell the coins , and I only say for the money,...nothing else. You see it many times in their descriptions,.........stupid no brainer descriptions,......like another description by a women currently,.......she is selling a 1/2 once gold commemrative 1998 for $10,000 starting bid. So collectors,.......when we are alive, buy your women sexy panties and bras, fur coats, chocolates, a built in pool and of course, that Jaquar sportcar,........this way, they will hopefully stop naggying at us for buying coins. MARIO
