Since I am a GSNA Board Member I thought I would pass this sad news
along for people that know Frank Dolan that live inside/outside of
New Jersey. Frank is certainly one of the more energetic and
respectic collectors in NJ. My deepest sympathy to Frank and his
family. See the below thread:
Hi All:
On behalf of my wife and my family, I thank you all for your
thoughts and your prayers. The outpouring of support from family,
friends and neighbors has been overwhelming. This has truly been the
worst experience that we have gone through, but so many have gone out
of
their way to comfort us.
My son Sean was an 18 year old senior in high school and was
scheduled to graduate from Stroudsburg HS in June. He was riding home
from the movies with a friend when the accident occurred. He was an
honor student and had decided on a career in the military upon
graduation. He was all signed up for the Marine Corp and his
departure
date for boot camp was June 28. Although not a coin collector (and
God
knows, I tried), he was active in several other worthwhile pursuits.
Both he and his older brother, Jared were active with the Delaware
Water
Gap Fire Department. He was scheduled in 10 days to again perform in
the school musical and he was active in Issinryu karate. He was a
second degree black belt and was working very hard in trying to get
his
third degree belt by the time he shipped out for the Marines. While
being very thankful for my two other children, I shall truly miss him!
In the passing of Sean, he continues to live on by him donating
his kidneys, liver, pancreas and heart valves. Hopefully through his
passing, others will experience the gift of life and prosper.
As stated previously, viewing will be at Wm. Clark Funeral Home,
1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg,PA on Wednesday from 6-8:30. Thursday
will be a service at St Lukes church at the corner of 9th & Main
Street,
Stroudsburg, PA at 10:30AM. At the conclusion of the service, all are
invited to a luncheon at Brownies (1 block from the church). His
body
will be cremated and plans have been made for the dispersal of his
ashes
at Parris Island, South Carolina, the location of the Marines boot
camp
that he so much dreamed of going to. This will take place in October
at
the scheduled graduation ceremony of his class and will performed by a
Marine Honor Guard. As the Marine motto states, "Once A Marine,
Always
A Marine!"
If I have been rambling, please forgive me but I realize that
many of you did not know him. He was a great son and I wanted you all
to know him as I did. If anyone feels that they would like to make a
contribution to the family, we would ask you to consider making it to
the Delaware Water Gap Volunteer Fire Department. Thank you all again
for your condolences and your prayers.
Frank, Carol, Melanie and Jared Dolan

Flowers from GSNA Officers and members will be sent to the Funeral
home.
Additional info for those attending: St. Lukes is on 10th & Main and
the
Funeral home (William Clark) is one block away in Stroudsburg -
believe
it
is on 9th & Main. This is absolutely the worse news for any family to
incur. Deepest sympathy to Frank & family from all members of the
Ocean
County Coin Club.
