I just ran your two CT 86-F images through Graphic Converter
3.9.2 and they ARE standard JPEG/JFIF format.
During the past month or so my love for Macintosh and my neutral
attitude toward the IBM/PC Windows system has changed to amazed
admiration for Macintosh and absolute hatred for the PC/Windows
system. Windows is without a doubt the most stupid operating
system that was ever invented which is difficult for me to say
being a large stockholder in Microsoft.
I recently burned two CDs for the moderators in the CNLF-Ctft
eSIG and checked them out on Windows XP before shipping them.
Almost all files were image files of various formats and on the
initial try they could open very few of them running Windows 95
and 98. The current reburn set which I checked under Windows XP
and were OK here - they too had many unopenable files under 95
and 98. AND - all files included extensions which MAC does not
even need. Then I discovered that they cannot open Word.RTF
files which ANY word processor application can open.
So - the comments like those from Craig are to be expected. My
suggestion to the moderators in the Ctft eSIG is to switch to a
Linux operating system. This is an awful problem with image
files!
