I have come across some information which may explain this issue. Its
weak ... but I will toss it out TONIGHT for some comments. We have
read about this issue as a possible pattern or it being created to
win some coinage contract, etc. This is good. These facts I have may
not be as good but it may prove entertaining.

Also have confirmed two counterfeiters in New Jersey in and around
Elizabethtown in the 1750's. These counterfeiters have been confirmed
with having molds and dies in their possession for making counterfeit
coin during their apprehension with the law. I believe these names
    may have already been discussed?

    Tonight.
