My hard drive died and I'm one of those who didn't back up frequently
enough, so I may have lost most of my family photos, coin photos, email,
etc. I'm now learning about the immense expense of "data recovery" and
debating how much to spend. This is all on top of replacing the hard
drive (still under warranty, but recovering the data is more expensive
than replacing the drive).

So, I haven't been able to read my "wwnet" email address all week and
I'm not sure when I will be able to. If you've emailed me recently and
didn't get a reply, you know why. I do still have email access at work
and that address is just my last name plus @umich.edu
