I use a balnce scale and grains of white rice. It may not be the
most accurate, but I find it serves my purpose well.

I used to weigh against sardines which I found served my porpoise(who
dressed as a nun and did some weird photography stuff) well....but
he had a habit of blowing everything out of proportion.

    Steve

    Even I don't get it

It's easy to use, measures in grains (grams also but grains is what
the colonial guys use) and is battery operated. For long term
viewing nights, I recommend using the AC adapter that plugs in the
wall. Actually, I don't know if I've ever used a battery in mine.
The accuracy is 0.1 grains. I don't know if Tom is still selling
these but I'm sure you can do a google search for Dillon.
