If anyone noticed the different ways the reins are handled....the one
driver seems to have them draped over his shoulders, while one has
the reins around his waist and the third has them gathered in his
hands....the first and especially the second driver is very confident
that the horse will not be spooked as I don't think I would want to
have the lines around my back if these big draft horses were to be
spooked and take off for some reason....anyone who has ever seen
draft horses pull a sled full of cement block at a fair can attest to
there strength and quickness when they have to move, and having been
around racehorses for most of my life, I can say they will spook at
the most unexpected times.
