I believe Byron had told me once about a year ago, but I cannot find the in=
fo on that. I have found metal detecting over the years ten William III or=
William & Mary coins, but all of them are blank on the Reverse and usually=
all show only the left side features and the bottom outline of the bust.
On every one of them I can see the ribbons and the letter GVL, so I can tel=
l on all of them where the ribbons point and distance from the letters and =
bust. Only on one can I see the two noses, so I know that one is a William =
and Mary.
I found one today and it is like the ones I have explained above. I am sur=
e there are easy ways to distinguish the different varieites and would app=
reciate someone either posting or email me privately what to look for on th=
em.
Thanks, Don Hartman
Attached is an e-mail photo only off the one I found today.
