Hi All,
Time to take a break from work. I did get two numismatic presents under the tree this year. One is an Irish Gun Money Shilling minted in January. I wonder if any of the "Gun Money" coinage has been found by detectorists in the Americas? Without a doubt, some had to find their way here during that time period, but if so, at what value did they circulate? I also received a "Speed the Plow" Hard Times token (1835). Diane saw a plow on this coin in Bob Vlack's case, and figured there's some connection to the NJ coinage also having plows... <BG> Sure beats getting socks, but I got those too<BG>
Any other numismatic gifts received or given this season? The only other I heard of was Roger's NJ.
Ray
