Dementia units tend to be somewhere between assisted living and nursing homes in mnay regsards but with added features to make sure residents don't wander off. Alzheimer's is perhaps the most well-known but there are other diseases causing dementia.
But I've never heard of one with AK-47s. But then I live in a blue state; always have.

P.S. If you find yourself needing a padded room, there's no need to move permanently. We could find a place for you to check in and bounce for a while.
