My wife's grandfather had dimentia, which I still believe was brought on by overmedication in the crummy nursing home he was in. He was a demanding guy, and I think they couldn't deal with it, and then overmedicated him to keep him quiet. It worked all too well. Once he had the problem, he didn't last 3 months. It was very sad at the end. David

Dementia units tend to be somewhere between assisted living and=20 nursing homes in mnay regsards but with added features to make sure=20 residents don't wander off. Alzheimer's is perhaps the most=20 well-known but there are other diseases causing dementia.
But I've never heard of one with AK-47s. But then I live in a blue=20 state; always have.

P.S. If you find yourself needing a padded room, there's no need to=20 move permanently. We could find a place for you to check in and=20 bounce for a while.
