I picked up a 1941 edition of The Drapier's Letters and other works of=20

edited by Davis at the Kansas City public library used book sale last year =

for 25 cents. In appendix c pages 187 and 188 there is a report on the
weight=20=20
and fineness of Woods Hibernia pieces done by Sir Isaac Newton and two=20
other=20
gentlemen. They conclude that the coins are of good weight and fineness, =
=20
better in fact than the regal Irish halfpence of Kings, Charles, James, and
William.=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20
