Absolutely an evasion due to the planchet diagnostics just as many
of the late Blacksmith Wood 30's & 40's are more than likely British
imported contemporary counterfeits ... to Byron's liking ...
nevertheless ... just trying to confirm this legend ... hate to
admit it ... but someone like Neil or Gary T. need to do thier photo
mastery on my two high grade specimens... to FINALLY put this issue
    to bed.

catalogue, but from this example it is clear that the thin line on
the right side of the letter taken to be a second O is acutally a U.

haven't you concluded that due to the punched letters and planchet
quality of these BITIT/BRTIT coppers that they are more than likely
British made evasions, as Morris pointed out.
