David,
It's been my experience that the Canadians I've met (numismatists), and had communications with, have all been very friendly and pleasant. There was one Canadian who made a gift to me of a ship token that had an American Flag instead of the British flag! And for no reason except to be nice!!! I've had the curator of the Canadian Numismatic Collection make inquiries recently, as well as the President of the CATC. All very nice people.
Ray

Oliver, I do not watch O'Rielly so would not have known about that, sorry.
I suspect that there are Canadians that harbor opinions about americans
with which you might not agree? Other than SOME French-Canadians, I have
never had a problem with any Canadian, in fact for the most part, those on
the west side are some of the best people I have ever met. As to Fox's
reporting of facts, MOST of the time, that is what I see them do, whereas
other networks, and especially the newspapers report THEIR interpretation
of the facts, so that we should just believe them. As Craig said, I* like
to formulate my own opinions based upon the facts as I know them, not have
someone tell me what I should or shouldn't believe. David

You've never heard Bill O'Reilly, I suppose? Or his ridiculous
description
of Canada as a "nest of terrorists", based on no hard evidence of any
kind?
Just his opinion. While that sort of thing might fly in an op-ed piece,
it
is very far from "fair and balanced". Thankfully, a recent poll has
shown
that the American public is intelligent enough or just plain decent
enough,
to see through this kind of idiotic nonsense. What is most ironic is
that
after his anti-Canadian tirades, O'Reilly is then shocked that the
entire
Canadian press hates him. I guess he doesn't think that they have a
right
to their opinions.

Regardless, FOX can hardly be considered a good source for "just the
facts,
ma'am". (I dare anyone to find a news channel or newspaper that does
that
anymore, if any ever really did.) Look at the case of the unfortunate
family in California who had their home (complete with house number)
fingered as the residence of a terror suspect, even though the suspect
had
cleared out many months earlier and a regular American family had moved
in.
Now their house has become the target of drive by shootings and
vandalism
and they require round the clock police presence. Not very good fact
checking on FOX's part, I'd say. For that mistake the company should
have
had its license revoked and been forced to pay to relocate the family.
You
shouldn't be able to do something like that to someone and get away with
an
"Oops. Sorry."
