I am going to attach an image of a just dug British? Halfpence. I am unable
to do anything with the image in order to make it show any detail to speak
of, so this may be asking a lot. This coin was just dug in Purcellville VA. (15
miles from where I live) The finder donated it to the Leesburg VA. (where I
live) Courthouse to replace the one stolen under the noses of about 20 cops
last month. The coin was that was found on the courthouse grounds with some
Federal stuff when the construction was done on a new court to stand beside the
1756 original. The stolen one was valued by the locals at $5000. No I mean
it, that is what they said. Having been unaware of the exhibit I have no idea
what it was other than a George III copper. Any information you can give me
would be appreciated. Thanks, Alan
