    David,
I recieved my newsletter today. With respect to delivery timing, we are at the mercy of the Post Office. With respect to our Canadian friends receiving their newsletters later than us in the US... I don't know what can be done.

    Oliver,
Thinking about Canada, I was glancing through an old Wayte Raymond "Standard Catalog of US Coins" and noticed in the pre-Federal section that there were three coins attributed to Canada (page 12 of the 18th edition). All are dated 1670 and are French 15 Sols, 5 Sols and a copper Double. Was there French Legislation that specified these coins were to be shipped to Canada? There is a reference to a Feb 19, 1670 edict for "La Compagnie Des Indes". Is this company responsible for colonizing Canada? I know so little about Canada during colonial times (pre 1800).
While I'm thinking of it Oliver, in AJN #15 on Page 29, I read your paper on "The Celeucid Coinage of John Hyrcanus I ...". Although the paper was geared for those already familiar with this series of coinage (I am not), I could appreciate your expertise in this field and the thoroughness of your presentation. With your growing interest in colonial coins, I hope to see some in depth articles such as this in the future, that the guys here can sink their teeth into! I also hope to meet at C4 or ANS one of these days.

    Ray

You'll never be last as long as C4 has Canadian members, right Gord?

No C4 newsletter yet in Kansas City. I see Marc and I are back to being the
last ones to get anything again. (Either that or I'm getting paranoid).
