This may be a duplication of my previous eMail -- back-door posting=20
does not always work -- I guess I will always be banned.
In the early days of American Numismatics (pre-Crosby) the obverse and=20
reverse of the Fugios were the opposite from those today.
The linked chain side was the Obverse, the Sundial side was the=20
Reverse. If memory serves - Eric Newman discussed this in his original=20
monograph on the Fugios. I believe that it was Newman who designated=20
the date/sundial side as the Obverse. Check his monograph and see --=20=20
at my age memory is often incorrect <s>.
