Thanks, Jack and Steve! Now that is cool, a poor young foreigner (Flemish) in London seeking his fortune; he robs Lord Baltimore, of all people, his fence is a Riviere (Revere), and he is off to the co;onies, with an all-expense paid trip to Maryland. And what an eloquent defense: he pleads his youth. Right out of Oliver Twist.
One unusual feature: they spelled our name right!
I suspect he is my greatgreatgreatgreatgreatgrandfather, but I need to tie him to possible grandsons George (b. PA 1806) and Samuel (1814) Triest, and get him from the PA militia to a farm in Lebanon Co. PA. 9Samuel is my earliest documented Lebanon Co. Pennsylvania ancestor; or rather his wife 0f 1810).
Steve, your problem is easily solved: don't let me out of your sight while the coins are around. And count the silver.
Thanks again guys.
Anybody know anybody who hangs out in the Lebanon PA archives?
