Good Morning All,
A couple weeks ago a friend made a gift to me of the Noe book on Mass Silver. I've been reading through it and picking up some info here and there. Lou Jordan's book about John Hull and the Boston Mint was very informative and enjoyable - I recommend it to everyone, whether you collect Mass Silver or not. I own one piece of Mass Silver, an Oak Tree Shilling. I finally got around to comparing it to the plates in the Noe book and one side looks like a Noe 13 while the other side looks like a Noe 14... I need to find my Ford catalog on Mass Silver and check the pictures and see what Mike Hodder says about the two varieties. This is all part of the fun!
Just curious... Does anyone own a Lion Half Daalder? The Lion Daalders seem very common in medium to low grades, but I just don't see the Half Daalders anywhere.
Ray
