Nice David...thanks....I wish I knew you were going....maybe when Craig goes, he can just take a quick look at the reverse of catalog # 00239-17A, a 1774 British halfpenny found between John Crumps house and Burdett's Ordinary. According to the booklet I purchased there, because of the considerable wear, it is uncertain whether this is genuine or counterfeit. The obverse is Machin's mills 3 and should be paired with 74A, and since it is listed as 1774, I assume it is. It is plated in "The Coins of Colonial America" booklet on the 3rd case plates, coin number 83.

It is accessed thru the 1773 Hospital which is pretty neat as well. They have paintings, furniture, silver, guns, etc., etc. If you have never been to Williamsburg, make sure you account for the heat! Bring water in with you, as there is alot of walking involved. There are also busses to get to the museum(Blue Line) which you should use if it as hot as it was when I was there. E-mail Erick and Bill to see if they will be there while you are. Erick was at ANA in Colorado Springs the week I was there. Btw, you might want to check out Busch Gardens 7 in 1 pass, if you have the desire to go to Busch Gardens. The pass is pricey, but saves the parking fee there which is $10 each time. It allows you to go to Yorktown, Jamestowne, Williamsburg, Busch's water park, and Busch Gardens. We found it useful. David

Very nice David !!!
My wife and I are going to be in Williamsburg from the 21st through the 25th.....
I already had showed her the C4 article and told her I'd need about an hour
or two at the museum.....
This now makes it definite !!!!
Anything you didn't get to shoot that I should concentrate on ??
Craig
