Thanks David. We used to go there about once a year when we lived back i= n PA, and this will be our third or fourth visit since we moved to Texas. = We just love the place.
And yes, I'm very familiar with the VA climate this time of year. Last t= ime we were there was when we attended a June wedding in Richmond two years= ago. It's about the same heat we have here, but the 90% plus humidity is = what really saps your strength.
We've only got 3-1/2 days to spend there before driving up to PA for a fa= mily reunion, and we plan to use it all at W'burg and Jamestown. I'll chec= k out the online tour of the galley and try to plan accordingly.
Thanks,
craig
Craig, There are all kinds of neat things there, Sword in Hand notes, numerous coins I didn't get pics of. I was almost running thru the exhi= bit hall. It is accessed thru the 1773 Hospital which is pretty neat as wel= l. They have paintings, furniture, silver, guns, etc., etc. If you have ne= ver been to Williamsburg, make sure you account for the heat! Bring water i= n with you, as there is alot of walking involved. There are also busses t= o get to the museum(Blue Line) which you should use if it as hot as it wa= s when I was there. E-mail Erick and Bill to see if they will be there wh= ile you are. Erick was at ANA in Colorado Springs the week I was there.=20 Btw, you might want to check out Busch Gardens 7 in 1 pass, if you have= the desire to go to Busch Gardens. The pass is pricey, but saves the parkin= g fee there which is $10 each time. It allows you to go to Yorktown, Jamestowne, Williamsburg, Busch's water park, and Busch Gardens. We fou= nd it useful. David
