Hey All!? I've gotten a few e-mails from people asking about the state of California right now, and figured I would just bring the group up to date.? I'm actually currently in Illinois visiting relatives, but a brother is still in San Diego, so I've been keeping track of things.? The fires there are in the more remote eastern areas which are a lot more rural (and thus have a lot more stuff to burn).? The main part of San Diego is closer to the ocean and bay and thus a little more moist -- and a lot more concrete -- so that is presumably safe, except for a lot of ash and smoke.? Hopefully things stay that way and they manage to get the fires under control as soon as possible.
Jeff
