Hi Rod,
Considering their age, probably not, if no one has since reprinted=20
and re-copyrighted them since - if you're posting a scan of an=20
article.=20
If it is something under current copyright, and even if you are not=20
profiting from do so, it still might be a problem because the=20
copyright holder could say that you are preventing him from selling=20
copies of his book by making it available without his authorization.=20
If you are posting a link to a website that contains the article then=20
there isn't any problem at all as you are simply providing the link=20
to it.
If you are saving articles that you've found on the internet to your=20
own computer, for your own pleasure and enjoyment, there isn't a=20
problem either, as long as you're not printing them out and then=20
selling them on eBay, which is what happened with the Vlack plates=20
not so long ago.
I'd suggest googling "copyright law" if you have any concerns as the=20
copyright laws aren't easily understood, and with the advent of the=20
internet it's become even more complicated.
