    Hi John,
You seem to be getting inbto Canadian numismatics with respect to today's posts. The article you cowrote for the CNJ about the Hudson Bay Tokens was interesting. There was a lot of history about the Hudson Bay Company, but the tokens just don't sit right with me. The conditions that they were discovered is mysterious, and poorly documented. I'm not sure that they aren't modern fabrications. Dr. Northover's input wasn't the conslusive scientific analysis that I was hoping to read about...
I look forward to reading your C4 article. Did you submit it yet? I'm not sure I understood everything in the post below, but I did get that there's a C4N article in the works.
    Ray

to most collectors ... and you right ... even I would agree the
desirability is there for both pieces in terms of a $$$ amount after
reading the catalog ... but to a Canadian numismatist sitting up in
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada ... it does not FIT into the overall equation
to be discussed in this upcoming C4 article ... you see ... it's the
HEAD LEFT that tosses it out ... even in 2008 ... they are not that
ARCHAIC (close) or as some Simian collector from Pennsylvania would
say ... there so AK-ishhhh ... up in Ottawa <BG>.
