As many of you know I enjoy collecting interesting die states and studying
progressions. When I collected US half cents I was never board always having
groups to compare. C-6 alone could keep me busy for an hour or more.

I'll never forget (totally ;-) what JPL once said about every ctft 1/2d
being different, I believe he was speaking in a relative sense but went on
to say something like it was difficult at best to even find a duplicate. It
was about then that I told JPL that not only did I have duplicates but
besides buying and selling them I also collected by die state and had a
number of interesting die state progressions put aside.

The latest set I've been working on contains one of my new Ringo purchases,
the 1781 attached. Notice the small break at the first G and as it gets a
bit larger on its way to the R and the other tiny break above the second G.

In my next email I'll try to post two more examples of this variety. Both of
which are in later and yet later ds's. I may only be able to attach one
image so be on the lookout for the other if two don't come thru.

    Clem
